What is the Inclusive Collective?

The Inclusive Collective is a queer-affirming, Chicago-based, Christian ministry to university students.

We were born from the vision for campus ministry that was relevant, honest, and radically inclusive. Originally housed on UIC’s campus, we have since become a campus ministry without a campus. We desire to connect with students throughout the city and in time, create a network of young adults committed to inclusive, justice-rooted Christianity that speaks to our cultural moment.

We are at work building relationships with a variety of established campus ministries, local churches, and ministry-centered non-profits. We hope to leverage these connections to create opportunities for students to explore their faith and spirituality, justice work and advocacy, and the local context of church ministry.

We practice mentor led, group work that results in integrated Faith-Formation in the lives of students.

We practice a praxis model of action and reflection that produces lasting Leadership-Development in the lives of students.

We practice Project based Community-Engagement that meets real needs in the world.
